Phospholec 250g 4154
What is Phospholec and what does it do? Phospholec is high- potency lecithin. In recent years lecithin has become increasingly popular as a food supplement. Lecithin is the common name that describes a naturally- occurring mixture of phospholipids. The phospholipids contain essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6), phosphorus, choline, inositol and glycerol. Lecithin is present in every cell in the human body in the form of cell membranes. For example, phospholipids comprise 80% of the myelin sheaths that function as membranes for nerve cells. Phospholec contains a natural blend of phospholipids (phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, phosphatidyl inositol) supported by linolenic (omega 3) and linoleic (omega 6) fatty acids. In particular the phosphatidyl choline level (30%- 35%) makes it one of the most potent and cost- effective lecithins on the market.

Phyto- Flavone 3230
A wealth of new research has revealed that whole soy beans not only have an unequalled nutritional profile, they are also the most important single source of dietary anti- carcinogens.” (Ref - Health Defence by Paul Clayton). Our new product Phyto- Flavone has found the balance between offering a sufficiently high concentration of isoflavones to make a one- a- day capsule, whilst at the same time preserving the very precious matrix of whole soy components. We are acutely aware of the benefits to health derived from the totality of phyto- nutrients within soy and for this reason have taken considerable time sourcing a product from the soy germ - the most nutritionally- rich part of the soy bean. Most standard 40% extracts of soy contain only isoflavones and saponins, whilst Phyto- Flavone contains all the following components: Isoflavones Phytic Acid Lecithin Oligosaccharides Phytosterols Saponins Folic Acid Tocopherols & Tocotrienols More than 30 clinical studies have confirmed the health benefits of the soy product contained within Phyto- Flavone, plus this product has been selected as the source of soy nutrition for major national and international health studies currently ongoing. Please request our detailed leaflet for more information about this exciting new product.

Phytoshield: Phyto- antioxidant 3209
Phytoshield is a high potency flavonoid and carotenoid phyto- antioxidant formula giving optimum support levels of these two much needed groups of antioxidants. We have recently launched this product into Cytoplan, Nature's Own sister company and I am delighted to be able to offer it to you too. Each capsule contains the equivalent of 650mg flavonoids and 15. 2mg carotenoids. To put this into perspective the average British diet gives around 140mg flavonoids and 5mg carotenoids. Doctors and nutritionists are now recommending that for health one needs at least 400mg of flavonoids and 23mg carotenoids so as you can see most of us are short on our intake of these valuable protectors. If you are one of the few people eating over 5 portions of brightly coloured fruit and vegetables you are likely to be achieving the level of carotenoids and flavonoids that you need for health. If not, then you would be best advised to change your diet to include this or consider topping up with supplemental phytonutrients. The great benefit of Phytoshield is that it covers the full colour spectrum of flavonoids and carotenoids in a one- a- day capsule. There are over 20, 000 flavonoids in nature. Flavonoids are high potency antioxidants and different flavonoids work to protect different body tissues. This is the reason it is important to have a wide variety of fruit and vegetables to ensure you get a broad spectrum of flavonoids in your diet. Many members of the flavonoid group have powerful antioxidant, anti- allergic and anti- cancer properties and boost the immune system. Other flavonoids inhibit enzymes involved in inflammation, the breakdown of bone and cartilage and vascular spasm. They block the release of histamine, reduce inflammation, strengthen capillaries and slow the leakage of antibodies into the blood stream. In short a powerhouse of vital protectors essential for health. Carotenoids There are over 600 carotenoids in nature., They are the major yellow and red pigments in many fruit and vegetables. As with the flavonoids the carotenoids have specific tissue affinities. The main sphere of action of the carotenoids is their ability to maintain intercellular connections. It is believed that as long as cells remain in contact they behave normally in body tissue. As soon as they lose this connection their behaviour becomes abnormal.. Cancer cells are deficient in terms of intra- cellular connection. The ability of the carotenoids to make cancer cells begin to communicate with surrounding healthy cells is probably why they can induce cultured cancer cells to return to normal. This has been reflected in human and animal studies where carotenoids have been used to prevent the development of precancerous conditions. The evidence suggests that carotenoids possess an intrinsic ability to regulate the key growth controlling genes. This is an area for which our understanding is still very much in its infancy but tremendously exciting in terms of future potential. Certainly until the mechanism is better understood it is wise to respect the healing power in foods and consume them in their natural state as much as we possible can. Phytoshield contains: Grape seed extract, beta carotene, ginger extract, curcumin, blueberry and bilberry, quercitin, lycopene broccoli, lutein and green tea extract.
